In 2019, total number of students were studying in UCR was 53,535. 23% of Students studying in the UCR were Transfer Students. These 12,313 Transfer Students left their respective universities/colleges to study in UCR. Total undergraduate enrollment in 2019 was 22,055. And postgraduates were 3,493. GPP aims to prepare you for future American graduate studies. GPP allows students who have completed 3 years undergraduate degree or completed your third year of undergraduate study in a four years degree, to complete your fourth and final year at UC Riverside. Choose from a variety of disciplines, and take courses alongside UCR matriculated students. You gain UCR Academic Credits that can count toward your home university undergraduate degree. You will also have the opportunity to apply for Mater’s and Ph.D programs at UCR.

OPT is a right USCIS grants international students to enter to the US Work-Force to get the industry experience after completing a study course in the US. OPT does not automatically allow students the right to work and students shall apply and get OPT rights from USCIS to work for 12 months. Not every course you study in the US will allowed you the right to OPT and also it is the responsibility of students to find an employer who is willing to hire you for 12 months. At UCR Extension, most courses gives rights to get 12 months OPT work right. Internships can be for credits or no credits and you may find an internship if you are allowed to work part time in the US. Most of the time, internships will lead you to find an employer easily.

The Admission Preparation Program (APP) prepares international high school students for academic success in an American university, with a supported transition into to their undergraduate degree program where they can earn college credit while acclimating to university life abroad.
APP is available to high school graduates who have met the academic A-G course and minimum GPA requirements, but who have not yet taken the SAT and/or TOEFL.
